Job Summary/Basic Function
Teach applied voice courses required for Acting, Musical Theatre, Dance, and Theatre Studies majors.
Support the voice training needs of students across multiple programs, including Acting, Musical Theatre, Dance, and Theatre Studies, and may also contribute instruction within the new BA in Arts Administration and Entrepreneurship (Theatre Concentration).
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Music (BM) or Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and 5 years of teaching on the collegiate level.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's of Fine Arts or Master's in Music.
Essential Functions and percent of time

Support student retention through high-quality applied voice instruction that is essential to the training of performers. Voice training is a core component of the curriculum for Acting and Musical Theatre majors and is also an important skill set for Dance students pursuing performance careers. Providing consistent, high-level voice instruction helps ensure that students develop the vocal technique, performance skills, and professional preparation necessary for success in the field.

Contribute directly to recruitment efforts through participation in audition processes, recruitment events, and outreach initiatives that support the continued national visibility of these programs. This includes helping maintain relationships with outside performing arts organizations, festivals, training programs, and professional networks that serve as pipelines for prospective students in Dance, Acting, and Musical Theatre.
10% Assist with student advising related to vocal development and performance preparation, helping guide students toward coursework, repertoire, and training opportunities appropriate to their level of development. Help identify, mentor, and coordinate highly qualified adjunct instructors in voice-related areas when needed.
