Job Summary/Basic Function

Provide up-to-date undergraduate course content, mentoring for students interesting in pursuing mental health careers, and guidance in pursuing internships or UG research experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or PsyD in Psychology or related discipline.
  • ABD candidates will be considered, but must have Ph.D. Or PsyD by the start date or the offer will be withdrawn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in psychology, particularly subfields related to clinical or developmental psychology, experience with delivering and/or developing high engagement class structures and developing/delivering online classes.

Essential Functions and percent of time

  • 80% Instruction of courses: May include evening and/or online courses.
  • 20% Service: Includes serving on a departmental, college, or university committee (e.g., relating to petitions, curriculum, student conduct), attending student events (e.g., Psi Chi/Psych Club, other student groups), and/or other student interactions outside the classroom (e.g., talking with students about research/practicum opportunities on/off campus, grad school, career preparation, student success strategies).

Teaching load will be 8 course sections per academic year with releases to perform specific essential administrative functions as defined by the chair.
