Instrumentation Specialist
- Trains instrument users.
- Performs routine maintenance, calibration, and validation of instruments. Conducts troubleshooting and repair of failed instruments.
- Purchases and controls inventory of liquified and compressed gases, supplies, and parts.
- Participates in department and committee meetings and strategic planning.
- Assists with data collection and analysis for research.
Short Job Description:
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
- Some relevant experience.
- Practical application experience with analytical instrumentation.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and financial management abilities.
- Capable of adapting to various computer systems and software platforms.
- Fundamental understanding of optical spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectrometry, and chromatography techniques.
