Interim Director of CRASSH (Temporary Cover, Part Time) Internal Secondment Opportunity

CRASSH seeks to appoint an Interim Director from 1 October 2027 to 30 September 2028, while Professor Joanna Page is on research leave. CRASSH was established at the University of Cambridge in 2001 and is one of the world's largest interdisciplinary research institutions. CRASSH offers a vibrant research community with a number of major research projects, alongside a programme of research development that runs over 300 events a year. The Directorship of CRASSH offers those interested in furthering interdisciplinary studies at Cambridge, across the arts, social sciences and humanities, an unparalleled opportunity to take a lead in the activities for which CRASSH is now well known.

The appointment is offered as an 80% secondment from current post for a period of one year. Please read the Further Particulars document for additional information.

This post is fixed-term for 12 months or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier. The post is offered to internal candidates only on the basis of a secondment from their current role in the University.

Interviews will be held during the week beginning 8 June 2026, subject to change. The appointment panel will be made up of members of the Centre's Management Committee and other UTOs in the School of Arts and Humanities and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
