Judaic Studies Instructor, Guidance
Position Summary:
Yeshiva University High School for Girls seeks a dynamic, caring, and organized educator to join our high school faculty.
This position includes teaching 11th and 12th Grade Chumash, and coordinating student wellness initiatives, providing academic support, and serving as a liaison for student mental health services.
Position Responsibilities:
- Teach 11th and 12th grade Chumash classes
- Plan and implement a Self-Care Week program, including workshops and activities that promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being
- Design and deliver study skills sessions to help students develop time management, organizational skills, note-taking strategies, and test preparation techniques
- Oversee regular grade check-ins, helping students understand academic expectations, monitor progress, and set goals for improvement
- Serve as the primary contact for coordinating communication between the school and external therapists, ensuring student support plans are integrated and confidentially managed
- Serve as a member of the Davening team, beginning at 8:20 am daily
Experience & Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Judaic Studies, Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Experience in student counseling, wellness programming, or academic support
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to connect with high school students and inspire both academic and spiritual growth
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
