Junior Laboratory Associate (Rich Laboratory)
We seek a Junior Laboratory Associate to participate in research projects focusing on the neural basis of cognitive and emotional processing. The laboratory uses behavioral and neurophysiological techniques. The Junior Laboratory Associate's primarily responsibility will be working under the supervision of senior researchers on a project involving data analysis and curation, including developing original analysis pipelines. Proficiency in one or more coding languages is required, and prior experience working with large-scale neurophysiology data is preferred. Additional responsibilities will include participating in day-to-day activities in the laboratory, and may include working closely with laboratory and veterinary personnel to monitor and care for laboratory animals, assisting in animal training and/or data collection, maintaining research records, and sterilizing equipment as needed.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $58,656.00 - $58,900. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. This position is based in New York and the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite as of their effective start date.
Bachelor's degree in neuroscience or related field.
