Organization Profile: Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur (abbreviated VNIT Nagpur), also referred to as NIT Nagpur, formerly Regional College of Engineering, Nagpur (REC) and Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering, Nagpur (VRCE), is a premier public engineering and research institution in India. It is located in Nagpur, Maharashtra, in central India. The institute has been consistently ranked among the best fifteen engineering colleges in India. It was established in June 1960 by the Government of India and later named in honor of engineer, planner, and statesman, Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.

Project position: Junior Research Fellow(JRF)

Title of the project: Design, Development, and Optimization of Insoles for Diabetic Foot Care.

Essential Qualification: As per ANRF and Institute Guidelines for research schemes/ sponsored schemes/ Emeritus Scientist.

Duration of the project: 36 Months (maximum) or until completion of the project (whichever is earlier).

Remuneration per month:

• Rs.37,000 for 1st & 2nd Year
• Rs.42,000 for 3rd Year (for 10 months) (Consolidated)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold a M.Tech./M.E./MS(R) or equivalent in relevant areas such as Mechanical Engineering, Material Sciences, Applied Mechanics etc. with a good academic background and sound knowledge in CAD, Finite Element Simulations, Machine Learning is desirable. Candidates having qualifying GATE/NET score will be preferred (old GATE/NET score can also be considered).

The post is entirely temporary in nature and will be terminated with the completion of the project.
