Job Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Project Title: Elucidating the role of CD36 and its association with Fetuin-A-TLR4 pathway in promoting pancreatic beta cell inflammation, lipid accumulation and insulin secretory defects in diabetic mice models

Department: Department of Zoology

Qualification: M. Sc. in Zoology/Animal Science or any other relevant subjects with a minimum of 55% marks and qualified in CSIR-UGC NET (LS)/ GATE/ any other equivalent national level examination with validity

Project Tenure: The project is tenable up to October 15, 2026, depending on the progress of the project and the continuation of the fund. The project has started on October 16, 2023 and already been completed more than one year of its tenure. Other terms and conditions will be governed by SERB and Visva-Bharati rules

Job Location: Santiniketan, West Bengal

Pay Scale: Rs. 31,000/- per month for the first two years as JRF and Rs. 35,000/- per month as SRF subsequently subject to the tenure of the project. Applicable HRA will be given as per Visva-Bharati rules. The post is co terminus with the project duration.
