Organization Profile: IISER Mohali started its academic programme in 2007, with a batch of 25 students in the five-year BS-MS Dual Degree Program. The Ph.D. Program was started in 2008 and the Integrated Ph.D. program was started in 2012. IISER Mohali’s fully residential campus is located on 125 acres of land given by the Punjab Government, in the Knowledge City at Sector 81, Mohali.

Job Title: Junior Research Fellow

Department: Earth and Environmental Science

Employment Type: Temporary

Essential Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in Microbiology /Biotechnology /Environmental Science or Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Environmental Science and Engineering with minimum 60% marks. Candidates should have qualified any of the national eligibility tests like CSIR/UGC/DBT-NET or GATE

Desirable Qualification: Prior research experience in analyzing wastewater quality parameters and handling of lab/pilot-scale biological wastewater treatment reactors based on aerobic/anaerobic/ecological engineering like constructed wetlands/microbial fuel cell processes is desired.

Duration: 5 months (extendable to 2 additional years after progress review and as per the availability of funds)

Emoluments: As per DST norms and as sanctioned in the project.
