Position Summary Information
The K–12 Professional Learning Specialist serves within TPI’s K–12 Practice Initiatives and is responsible for supporting school districts and school sites in strengthening educator capacity to meet the needs of diverse learners. This role leads and supports professional learning activities, including classroom observations, coaching, modeling, and feedback.
Responsibilities
PK-12 Instructional Coaching
- Provide professional development and technical assistance to schools and districts on evidence-based instructional practices
- Develop materials and related tools for schools to promote inclusive education programming
- Conduct observations and provide appropriate coaching, modeling, and feedback
- Facilitate Professional Learning Communities (PLC)
Program Support School Liaison
- Develop partnerships with school districts, school sites, and county offices of education
- Travel to school sites and training sites
Required Qualifications
- Certificated teacher with minimum of 5 years of experience teaching
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction at multiple grade levels
- Demonstrates expertise in inclusive education
- Willingness to travel
