"Laboratory Technologist, ChBE"

Job Description

• Oversee research laboratory housekeeping and adherence to safety compliance which include participating in safety inspections, maintaining proper safety records and documentation and training users and students on the safe operation of the laboratory equipment
• Manage the department’s electronic and chemical waste
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and repair of common lab equipment and essential facilities.
• Manage Procurement and Goods Receipt for Labs for research and teaching-related purchases and participating in asset verification exercise.
• Manage the smartcard system for the department.
• Involved in the verification of examination scripts for completeness.
• Any other relevant duties when required.

Job Requirements

• At least a Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Chemistry or related disciplines
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Self-motivated with good communication and organizational skills
