Large Animal and Rural Community Veterinary Practice
The Department of Veterinary Science (Faculty of Science and Environmental Studies), Lakehead University, Thunder Bay Campus, invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured appointment with expertise in Large Animal and Rural Community Veterinary Practice, with an anticipated start date of Fall 2026 or January 1 2027.
Applicants will have a DVM or equivalent degree, a minimum of three years of clinical practice experience and have experience with equine and rural community veterinary practice. Applicants will have a graduate degree or board certification or be eligible for board certification. A doctoral degree (PhD or DVSc) is preferred. Eligibility for licensure in Ontario is preferred.
Applied teaching experience with DVM students is considered an asset. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching of equine laboratories and lectures in clinical medicine and health management in the DVM program. The successful candidate will have demonstrated potential in research related to epidemiology, public health, animal health, health management or a related and applicable field.
