Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Lead Business and Technical Applications Specialist provides senior-level technical expertise for Banner Application Solutions and enterprise reporting. This position serves as both technical lead and lead report writer, directs complex ERP initiatives, establishes best practices, and ensures accurate system integrations and strong data governance. The purpose of this position is to provide specialized work in creating, implementing and maintaining technical application solutions for university enterprise (ERP) systems and/or system components as well as serve as a resource to other applications development staff in the organization.
Preferred Years Experience,Skills, Training , Education:
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and report development (joins, subqueries, aggregations, performance tuning).
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or WebFOCUS.
- Ability to design and develop complex reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy and integrity.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
