Lead Food Service Worker
This person works as a team to provide food service that is safe, accurate, timely and responsive to the customer and patient's needs. Food service includes stocking, assembling, and serving portion controlled hot and cold food, replenishing and stocking stations, and cleaning and sanitation of food service areas and equipment in a safe manner. This person may be cross trained to work in several areas within Nutrition & Food Services and is expected to have a strong foundation in the different shifts and positions in foodservice to enable them to support management and operations. Retail Food Service includes serving. Cashiering consisting of a large percentage of the duties performed, bussing, and barista duties. Patient Food Services includes assembly and delivery of patient meal trays and sanitation of food service areas. Catering Food Services includes setup, serving, and cleanup of catering events across UCSF Health sites. This position may be responsible for cash, credit card and debit card transactions as well as assisting with daily cash management duties. In addition, this person provides oversight of the food service unit under the general guidance of management. This includes supporting staff and monitoring operations to ensure food service and safety standards are met. This position assists with department audits and documentation, inventory and ordering, troubleshooting general day to day operational issues, small projects to support quality and workflow improvement, and assists to cover sick calls. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer, patient, and staff interactions and is looked upon as the ambassador for the department of Nutrition and Food
The salary range for this position is $29.46 - $39.66 (Hourly Rate).
