Lecturer/Assistant/Associate Professor of Biology
Job Summary
Dalton State College invites dynamic and student-centered educators to apply for two full-time, 10-month faculty positions in Biology. One of the positions requires experience teaching Human Anatomy & Physiology (Contingent on funding). The positions will begin on August 1, 2026. Depending on experience and qualifications, appointments will be made at either the tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor or Lecturer level. (One position is contingent upon funding.)

Teaching responsibilities include 28 credit hours per academic year, with opportunities to teach day, evening, off-campus, or online courses. Faculty also contribute to curriculum development, assessment of student learning, and service activities that advance the mission of the college.

- A cadaver lab for advanced anatomy instruction

Responsibilities
Major Duties - 100%
- Teach courses at the undergraduate level.
- Academic advising and mentoring students.
- Participate in service activities in the department, college, community, and other appropriate activities related to the field of expertise.
- Engage students in undergraduate research projects.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Applicants must hold an earned masters degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the teaching discipline or closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- College classroom teaching experience.
- Experience or interest in supervising undergraduate research
- One position may give preference to applicants with teaching experience in Human Anatomy & Physiology with the other position open to all qualified candidates.
