Lecturer/Assistant Professor (Above the bar) in Farm Animal Clinical Studies

Applications are invited for a temporary specified purpose post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor (Above the bar) in Farm Animal Clinical Studies within UCD School of Veterinary Medicine.

The successful applicant will join a dynamic team working in the area of herd health, farm animal medicine, surgery and animal husbandry, with a spectrum of research activity linking basic reproductive biology, food safety, dairy cow nutrition, calf health, epidemiology and the development and implementation of innovative disease management systems at herd level. The appointed candidate will have a proven interest in veterinary education and contribute to the teaching of Herd Health / Animal Husbandry / Farm Animal Clinical Studies across all years of the MVB degree programme. They will contribute to the delivery of referral herd health and individual animal services. They will actively explore opportunities for research funding in the area of herd health, husbandry and farm animal clinical studies.

95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above the Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €65,401 - €103,564 Per Annum.

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
