Position Overview
This part-time position will be expected to teach one or more lecture and/or lab based, or related recitation, courses that include, but are not limited to, Biology 1101, 1110, 1113, 1114, and 3501.
Performance Objectives
The individual will be expected to lead course discussions, assist with overseeing teaching lab experiments, hold office hours, and complete related grading and other course related tasks as assigned.
Required: Candidates must hold a Master's Degree in Biology or a related life science discipline. Candidates must have strong commitment to teaching at all levels.
Desired: Ph.D. in Biology or a related life science discipline. Strong communication and public speaking skills are desired.

Department Information
The Center for Life Sciences Education (CLSE) within the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University seeks to fill an open semester Lecturer position. The CLSE is home to the largest major within the College of Arts & Sciences with 2,400+ majors. The new lecturer will join an interdisciplinary community on the main campus in Columbus, Ohio. This position will begin Autumn 2026. This position is open to individuals with a background in a Biological and/or related Life Science area.
