The College of Science and Mathematics at Augusta University invites applications for a Lecturer position in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry which is anticipated to begin in August 2026. Applicant must possess a minimum of a Master's degree in a discipline of Chemistry or Biochemistry and have the expertise to teach courses such as General Chemistry, General Chemistry Lab, Organic Chemistry and/or a Survey course in Chemistry. Prior experience teaching at the college level is preferred. The normal teaching load for this position will be approximately seven courses per academic year, and applicants must have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduates. This position is not on tenure track.
Responsibilities
Teaching - 90%
Teach courses, labs, and selected lectures to undergraduate and/or graduate students on topics in Chemistry and Biochemistry and also core science courses including organic, biochemistry, analytical, physical and inorganic chemistries. The minimum requirements are an MS. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemistry Education, or closely related field.
Service - 10%
Service to the university entails work on department, college, and university committees, work groups, and/or campaigns in order to promote and support Augusta University's mission.

Educational Requirements
A Master's degree in a field of Chemistry and Biochemistry with at least 18 credit hours in Chemistry and Chemistry related courses (organic, analytical, inorganic, physical, pharmacology, toxicology, and biochemistry).
