Position Summary

The Lecturer / Early Career Faculty in Sports Management will serve as a Teaching Focused Academic (TFA) responsible for delivering, coordinating, and developing academic programs in sport management.

The role involves teaching undergraduate programs such as Bachelor of Sport Management and Bachelor of Sport Management / Bachelor of Business, with a strong emphasis on sport marketing and industry-integrated learning.

The appointee will contribute significantly to teaching excellence, curriculum development, student engagement, and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), while also developing as an emerging researcher in sport business.

Qualifications & Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Master’s degree holder or PhD candidate in Sport Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in undergraduate teaching
  • Expertise in sport management and sport marketing
  • Experience in curriculum development and subject coordination
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Ability to deliver teaching in a dynamic, collaborative environment
  • Commitment to teaching excellence and student engagement

Desirable

  • Experience in teaching business or management subjects
  • Industry experience in sport, recreation, or entertainment sectors
  • Contribution to SoTL or academic research
