Lecturer, Educational Administration (Term)
This position oversees YSU's online graduate programs that prepare licensed K-12 school principals and superintendents. Specific responsibilities include instruction, advising, collection and monitoring of assessment data, monitoring of internship site placements, administration of comprehensive exams, verification of degree completion and eligibility for licensure, and coordination with the department chair and administrative specialist in all other matters related to the successful functioning of the two programs. Depending on qualifications, the person appointed to this position may also teach in the educational doctoral program, advise doctoral candidates, and sit on dissertation committees. Specific assignments may vary by semester based on program needs as determined by the department chair.
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Work Schedule:Typically, Monday through Friday, including some evenings, and the possibility of some weekend days. Possibility for online course assignments.Primary Location: Youngstown, Ohio.

Minimum Qualifications:An earned doctoral degree in educational leadership or administration or related field. Minimum three years of successful experience in K-12 school leadership at either building or district level.
Preferred Qualifications:Ohio principal and/or superintendent license. Successful teaching experience in higher education. Successful online teaching experience. Demonstrated record of success in teaching doctoral students and supporting dissertation work.
Physical Requirements:In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.
Sedentary:work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria are met.
