Position description
The Bioengineering department in the School of Engineering anticipates hiring full and/or part-time lecturer positions to teach the following courses for Summer 2026:
BIOE 002: Fund Molecular Biology
BIOE 021: Introduction to Computing with Python
BIOE 104: Biotransport Phenomena
ENGR: 080: Stat Model Data Analysis
Other courses as needed

In addition to teaching the course(s), the instructor is responsible for creating a syllabus, holding weekly office hours (minimum 2 hours/week), and grading examinations and/or papers. The instructor may also be required to hold discussion sections or supervise a graduate student teaching assistant or reader.
This is a limited-term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and appropriate collective bargaining agreement. Basic qualifications
Advanced degree in a relevant area or related field and experience teaching at the college or university level are required. Must be able to provide a record of excellence teaching that demonstrates broad experience working with students of different abilities, ethnic backgrounds, and educational attainment.
