Lecturer in Civil and Environmental Engineering: Summer 2026 (Anticipated)

Position description

The Civil and Environmental Engineering department in the School of Engineering anticipates hiring full and/or part-time lecturer positions to teach the following courses for Summer 2026:

• ENGR 057: Statics to Dynamics
• ENGR 155: Engineering Economic Analysis
• Other courses as needed

In addition to teaching the course(s), the instructor is responsible for creating a syllabus, holding weekly office hours (minimum 2 hours/week), and grading examinations and/or papers. The instructor may also be required to hold discussion sections or supervise a graduate student teaching assistant or reader.

This is a limited-term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. See description.
