We invite applications from outstanding candidates in macroeconomics for a full-time, fixed-term Lecturer in Economics (Teaching and Research) position (equivalent to Assistant Professor in North America). Successful candidates are expected to allocate their contributions as follows: 40% to teaching and related activities, 40% to research, and 20% to governance, leadership, and engagement.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- engage in high quality research and scholarship
- deliver high quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, integrating cutting edge research and scholarship into the curriculum to enrich student learning
- create engaging, inclusive learning environments that reflect the University's commitment to excellence in education and student experience
About you
- a PhD in Economics or a closely related field (such as econometrics, international or financial economics, public economics, or other macro-relevant disciplines)
- deep and broad experience in teaching and learning, with evidence by participation in team teaching within an established program and experience in teaching in a variety of settings
- demonstrated success in designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives
- demonstrated ability in developing and maintaining supportive and collaborative relationships with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders
- a developing research profile evidenced by original, high-quality and independent research in the discipline or area of expertise
