Position description
The Electrical Engineering department in the School of Engineering anticipates hiring full and/or part-time lecturer positions to teach the following courses for Academic Year 2026-2027:
- EE 001: Electrical Engineering Introduction
- EE 005: Designing and Building Electrical Engineering Systems
- EE 021: Introduction to Electrical Engineering Programming
- EE 060: Digital Systems Design
- EE 065: Electrical Circuit Theory
- EE 101: Electronic Circuit Design I
- EE 102: Signal Processing and Linear Systems
- EE 105: Semiconductor Devices
- EE 115: Electromagnetics and Applications
- EE 120: AC and RF Circuit Analysis
- EE 122: Introduction to Control Systems
- EE 131: Power Electronics
- EE 135: Aerospace Power Electronics and Systems
- EE 140: Microcontroller Architecture and Embedded Systems
- EE 160: Electric Power Systems
- Other courses as needed

In addition to teaching the course(s), the instructor is responsible for creating a syllabus, holding weekly office hours (minimum 2 hours/week), and grading examinations and/or papers. The instructor may also be required to hold discussion sections or supervise a graduate student teaching assistant or reader.
This is a limited-term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and appropriate collective bargaining agreement. See the following URL for additional information.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications
Advanced degree in a relevant area or related field and experience teaching at the college or university level are required. Must be able to provide a record of excellence in teaching that demonstrates broad experience working with students of different abilities, ethnic backgrounds, and educational attainment.
