Lecturer in Human Anatomy (Tenure-Track)
NOSM University invites applications for a tenure track full-time Faculty position at the rank of Lecturer. The successful candidate must hold a minimum of a Master's degree in human anatomy or a related field. Candidates must also have experience or training in teaching human anatomy, including application of innovative teaching methods that enhance student learning, such as virtual, 2D/3D imagery, and AI learning tools.
The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating and delivering human anatomy education, should have cadaveric (dissection) experience, and have good knowledge of histology. The appointment primarily involves teaching at the undergraduate medical student level but will also support the anatomy curriculum across different programs at NOSM University.
The position will involve working with a team of anatomy instructors and laboratory assistants at the two NOSM University campuses. The candidate is expected to participate in scholarly activities including educational scholarly activities that enhance the scope of their teaching abilities.
The applicant must have shown evidence through experience and/or training of the ability to teach at the university level and will be expected to contribute to the design of the curriculum at the University. The incumbent will also be expected to contribute to the academic governance and administration of the Medical Sciences Division and the University as well as have opportunities to professional activities and service to the community.
The successful applicant will be appointed in the Medical Sciences Division and based at the NOSM University campus in Thunder Bay and will be expected to routinely engage in activities at the other campus in Sudbury.
Appointment begins September 1, 2026 or as negotiated. Remuneration is competitive and will be based on qualifications and experience.
