X3 full-time, continuing appointments - with one appointment to commence early 2027

Academic Level B - $116,527 p.a. plus up to 17% superannuation

About the role

As an integral member of our team, you will contribute to the development, delivery and assessment of Primary Education units at undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute to the institute by undertaking scholarly research and administrative functions.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.

You will:

  • prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials and seminars;
  • undertake assessment and moderation of units at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
  • develop course materials and resources in early childhood education; and
  • contribute to a range of activities associated with the development and delivery of curriculum.

About you

You will work as part of the Institute's team of academic and administrative staff. You will possess proven educational, scholarly research and professional experience and seek to make a solid contribution to the teaching effort within the Institute within the strategic framework of the University and in accordance with its mission. You will be a creative thinker and avid problem-solver, who possesses initiative, innovation, and a can-do attitude.

You will possess demonstrated:

  • commitment to and enthusiasm for teaching with a strong record of teaching experience in a tertiary environment;
  • ability to develop and implement a student-centred approach with a focus on student educational experience and success;
  • experience in academic administration;
  • ability, commitment and passion for engaging in scholarly research; and
  • experience in primary literacy education is highly desirable.
