About the Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Lecturer in Psychology to join our Department of Psychology - UG to work in our Manchester Campus. In this role you will be required to contribute to the development and delivery of our programmes. You will:
- Deliver excellent teaching, learning and support to our students.
- Lead and develop modules, ensuring high-quality learning materials and curriculum development.
- Design excellent digital teaching material ensuring that content and methods of delivery meet defined learning objectives.
- Undertake assessment marking, design authentic assessments, and provide high-quality feedback.
- Manage your own teaching activity and reflect on practice and development of skills, with support/guidance as needed.
- Undertake administrative activities to support teaching and learning activities.
- Actively contribute to School level activity.
The ideal start date for this role would be 1 October - however there may be some flexibility for the successful candidate.
About You
To be successful as a Lecturer in Psychology you will need:
- An MSc or equivalent qualification in Psychology, with Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Experience in teaching, learning, assessment, dissertation supervision, and pastoral care practices in Higher Education.
- A track record of successfully contributing to programme teams and being an inspiring and creative lecturer.
- AdvanceHE Recognition - FHEA or willing to achieve within 12-18 months.
- We encourage applications from those with experience teaching across the core BPS curriculum.
Highly Desirable Criteria:
- A PhD (or close to completion) in Psychology or a closely related subject.
- Expertise in, or a willingness to engage in, appropriate applied AI practices.
