Job Description:
The Department of Management at Russell Sage College invites applicants to apply for part-time Lecturer in Management/Sales & Sales Management and Internship Coordinator. The School offers undergraduate degrees in business and sports and recreation management, and master's degrees in MBA, Organization Management, and Health Services Administration. This is a teaching-focused position designed for a practitioner-scholar committed to excellence in business education and student professional development.
Faculty Responsibilities
The candidate for this position will teach sales courses and direct the School of Management's Internship Program.
Internship Coordinator Responsibilities
In addition to faculty responsibilities, the Internship Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between students, faculty, and employer partners. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, manage, and grow the School of Management's Internship Program.
- Recruit and cultivate relationships with regional employer partners across relevant industry sectors.
- Advise students on internship search strategies, professional readiness, and career development.
- Coordinate placement processes, site approvals, and learning agreements.
- Conduct site visits and monitor student internship experiences.
- Collect and assess internship outcome data and program effectiveness metrics.
- Collaborate with the Career and Self-Discovery Center and faculty to align experiential learning with program learning goals.
The estimated base academic year salary range for this position is $35,000- $37,500, commensurate with experience.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Sales Management, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated professional experience in Sales, Sales Management, or related business field.
- 1-3 years of college-level teaching experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills appropriate for working with students, faculty, and employer partners.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic academic environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
