Lecturer in the Discipline of Classics
The Department of Classics at Columbia University invites applications for three non tenure-track lecturer positions for the academic year 2026-2027, with the possibility of renewal for a total of up to three years. These are full time positions with initial appointment for one year and renewal for two additional years contingent on satisfactory performance and curricular need. Applicants should be specialists in Greek and Latin language and literature with proven experience and excellence in college-level teaching. The teaching assignment will consist of six elementary and/or intermediate courses in Greek and/or Latin each academic year. The salary is $73,181 and comes with benefits.
Columbia can provide visa sponsorship for eligible candidates.
Ph.D. in Classics; all requirements for the degree must be fulfilled by 30 June 2026.
