LECTURER OF MUSIC THEATRE APPLIED VOICE
The School of Music is seeking a Lecturer of Music Theatre Applied Voice. .75 time, 9-month, fixed term position. May be renewable.
Required qualifications: MM in Vocal performance or MM or MFA in Musical Theatre, outstanding performance skills, successful music theatre experience, and qualifications to teach applied voice to students pursuing all genres of the vocal profession – musical theatre, commercial voice, classical, pop, and rock.
The primary duty of this position is to teach undergraduate students who are preparing for professional careers in singing in all genres of the music industry musical theatre, commercial voice, classical, pop, and rock. The ideal candidate will be proficient in healthy vocal pedagogy techniques for belting and mixing in addition to standard vocal techniques. Additional responsibilities may include classroom assignments made based on the strengths of the candidate and the needs of the School of Music.
