Applicants should hold a professional legal qualification or PhD in Law (or equivalent experience) and have significant professional experience in maritime law, shipping, marine governance, environmental law, law of the sea, port regulation, or related sectors. Experience or knowledge of the legal and regulatory implications of marine autonomy, autonomous vessels, maritime data systems, or AI in shipping is highly desirable.
Based on campus in Plymouth, the role offers opportunities to collaborate across law, marine science, engineering, and policy, including engagement with the UK's National Centre for Marine Autonomy and the UK's first National Marine Park.
