Description
The Department of Finance in the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business at Clemson University invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track position. The preferred candidates are expected to be hired as a Lecturer. The position is term-limited and renewable based on performance and availability of funding. Job duties will include teaching up to two (2) in-person courses for the summer semester at the undergraduate level for the course Introduction to Financial Modeling. The start date is July 1, 2026. Clemson University is a R1 Carnegie designated, land-grant competitive admissions institution with total enrollment approaching 29,000 students. The Finance program currently has over 1,300 finance majors, 16 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, three clinical faculty members, and eight full-time lecturers. Clemson, South Carolina is a small college town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, located on the I-85 corridor between Atlanta and Charlotte and is 30 miles outside of Greenville, SC. Greenville is consistently named as one of the nicest places to live in the country.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a master's or terminal degree in finance or a related field (e.g., Master of Business Administration) or equivalent experience. Preference will be given to candidates with applicable industry experience or comparable teaching experience. All applicants should have potential for excellence in teaching, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to teach a variety of finance classes at the undergraduate level.
