"Lecturer Positions in Human Geography, Physical Geography, Public Administration, Sociology, Statistics, Research Methods, and Quantitative Analysis"

The Academy invites applications for new Lecturer positions to teach courses in human geography, physical geography, public administration, general sociology, statistics, research methods, and advanced topics in quantitative analysis across these disciplines.

Responsibilities:

The appointee is expected to teach courses, supervise students' projects, and engage in program administration at the undergraduate level or above. Teaching in various special programmes within the Academy and/or Faculty is also expected.

Requirements:

• Possess a PhD with teaching experience in at least one of the following areas:
  • Geography
  • Sociology
  • Political Science
  • Public Policy
  • Statistics
  • Research Methods
  • Any other relevant social science disciplines
• Have strong analytical capabilities and effective communication skills; and
• Have a good command of written English.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one to two years commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
