About the school

The School of Education, Health and Science at the University of Gloucestershire is a thriving and exciting environment to work in. The School’s vision is based on three key words: Belonging, Transforming and Professional. We are a student-centred institution, and these three words guide our decisions, targets and ambitions for the School. We are proud to be teaching and developing the front- line professionals of tomorrow, including teachers, nurses, social workers, psychologists, coaches, and more. The post-holder will be based at the modern City campus in Gloucester.

About the role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced academic or practitioner Health psychologist to join our team. With your expertise you will make a substantial contribution to teaching, research and leadership in Health Psychology and the wider School.

Contributing to teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, you will be an engaging and innovative lecturer who shares our student-centred approach, ready to offer a high standard of support and keen to make a positive contribution to the student experience, including graduate outcomes.

Applicants should offer a research or consultancy portfolio commensurate with career stage and a clear personal plan to develop a programme of research.

Individuals who have been working in practice are strongly encouraged to apply and we will consider fractional posts in order to facilitate split working between academia and applied/practitioner work.
