Postdoctoral Research Associate in Microbial Evolution and Symbiosis
About the role
We seek a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to make use of spatial proteome and transcriptional cell atlas data to explore how two microbial cells can manifest stable endosymbiotic interactions. Working in a lively and interdisciplinary team you will have access to highly developed datasets and cutting-edge experimental platforms to develop understanding in how two microbes interact. The post can be focused on bioinformatics or laboratory work or a combination of the two.
About you
You will hold a relevant PhD/DPhil in molecular cell biology of symbioiotic systems, together with relevant experience. You will possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings. You will be enthusiastic and committed to bringing interdisciplinary approaches to complex questions. You will have an eye for detail and a desire to bring projects to completion.
