  • Remuneration: AUD$137,608 to $163,427 pa (LEVB) (inclusive of $116,280 to $138,097 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading). AUD$168,578 to $194,406 pa (LEVC) (inclusive of $142,451 to $164,275 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading).

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Water Engineering to join School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at QUT has an exciting position for a Lecturer (Level B) / Senior Lecturer (Level C) in water engineering who is able to provide leadership in both research and teaching within the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer will be working as part of an interdisciplinary team of academics, research fellows, graduate students and industry partners. The role will require participation in fundamental and applied research, including fellowship submissions, grant funding submissions and publications.

What you need to succeed

  1. Demonstrated research leadership in the field of environmental engineering, including a track record of successfully obtaining grants, publishing in high-quality journals and top-tier conferences, and engaging with industry.
  2. Align with the School’s existing research areas in water engineering, such as engineering hydraulics, engineering hydrology and water resources management.
  3. Demonstrated ability in teaching and learning, including scholarly and innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Ability to teach into our civil engineering undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
  4. Interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to develop internal and external partnerships that extend best practice and realise opportunities for teaching and research.
  5. Proven ability to contribute to a high performance and collaborative culture.
