Legal Specialist / Paralegal (HEOa)
POSITION DETAILS
Bronx Community College seeks a highly motivated, full-time Paralegal to support the Office of Legal Affairs and Labor Relations. Under the supervision of the Chief Campus Counsel, the Paralegal will assist with preparing legal documents, scheduling appointments, and answering phone inquiries. The role includes entering data into internal and external systems and assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and possess excellent communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and four years' related experience required.

- Performs research and writing activities; prepare opinions, reports and drafts of research activities

- Assists in preparing for litigation or hearings; compiles and analyzes legal data pertinent to cases; prepares summaries
- Researches, gathers, and compiles case data; studies provisions and nuances of contract, collective bargaining agreements, CUNY policies, and laws or regulations and fulfills requests for information
- Files and indexes case studies, actions, contracts, decisions, and other legal documents
- May perform paralegal duties in a specialized unit, such as labor relations, contracts, or student immigration support
- Performs related duties as assigned.

Salary commensurate with education and experience: $70,756-$82,384
