Position Summary

SLC Lifeguards are responsible for the safe and effective day-to-day operation of the Student Life Center pool, locker rooms, and deck area. Guards are required to enforce facility policy, rules and regulations to prevent accidents and implement emergency action plans as needed.

Major Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of patrons using the Student Life Center pool, locker rooms, and pool deck.
• Complete and submit safety reports as necessary.
• Enforce policies in the Student Life Center

Required Qualifications

• Valid Lifeguard with CPR / AED /First Aid completed within the last year
• Must hold certification in Cortland County Approved Lifeguard certification from one of the listed agencies
