Position Description
Limited Term Instructors are full-time faculty hired on a semester to semester basis. The position is renewable for a maximum of 3 semesters and is dependent on enrollment. The selected candidate will be responsible for: Providing 18 semester hours of instruction per semester, Providing student support and advising, Maintaining an average of 10 office hours per week, Working effectively and professionally with colleague, Teaching a mix of in-person and online classes.
Required Experience
A minimum of a Master’s degree required in the teaching discipline or a minimum of a Master’s degree with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter graduate hours in relevant coursework (completed by the anticipated date of appointment).
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
Prior teaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level, desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to teach Computer Information Systems at the collegiate level.
- Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods, relate to students and facilitate student learning.
- Effective communication skills needed.
- Excellent organizational and teaching skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology and ability to teach online is required.
Work Hours
Position may require non-standard hours (including day, evening, online, hybrid, weekend and/or other campus locations).
Salary
10 month salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
