Summary:
Major Gift Officers
serve as vital members of the Development Team, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding key donors and university relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Major Gift Officers are responsible for cultivating, stewarding, and soliciting gifts from assigned
- donors/prospects. Additionally, Major Gift Officers are to network and proactively identify new prospects for major gifts.
- Solicit
- major five, six, and seven figure gifts from assigned donors/prospects.
- Manage approximately 160 prospect relationships,
- personally interacting with prospects through face-to-face visits, phone calls, email correspondence, etc., including preparing personalized
- materials.
- Maintain timely, accurate records of communication with external constituents, and have these interactions logged
- appropriately into CRM or other systems.
- Seek to achieve assigned personal and Advancement department goals.
- Research,
- develop, and author funding proposals, appeal letters, and reports, as required.
- Serve as subject expert and lead for assigned
- area (i.e. planned giving, foundation relations, corporate relations, church relations, etc.).
- Serve as an ambassador for the
- university, representing Trinity on and off campus.
- Participate in, and on occasion, help plan special events.
- Maintain
- trust and confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Supportive of Trinity’s mission and
- core values, commitment to a Christian lifestyle, and demonstration of character in keeping with biblical models.
- Three years of
- fundraising experience, or clear evidence of ability.
- Excellent written, verbal, customer service, and interpersonal communication
- skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Working Relationships:
Reports to the
Chief Development Officer
Work Schedule:
This is an exempt position. Additional hours may be required evenings and/or
weekends as needed.
Compensation:
This position will be paid $100,000 – 120,000 commensurate with experience.
