HIRING RANGE: $77,810.00 - $87,537.00 annually

POSITION SUMMARY

This position provides leadership, supervision and direction to the Crawford Honors College and reports to the Dean of Academic Excellence and Support. This role works collaboratively with faculty, staff, students and external stakeholders and provides operational management for the newly established Crawford Honors College. This position is responsible for the oversight of the high-achieving, high-aspirational, and high-motivational academic environment that fosters excellence in student learning, research, and global engagement.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide leadership for the strategic vision of the Crawford Honors College that aligns with the institution’s mission and academic priorities.
  2. Lead recruitment, admission, and retention efforts for high-achieving students.
  3. Develop and oversee onboarding orientation and advising strategies for incoming Honors students.
  4. Serves as the principal point of contact for high school partners, prospective and current students.
  5. Collects, organizes, monitors and reports student success rates for Crawford Honors College students.
  6. Serves as Co-Chair of the Honors Faculty Advisory Council (HFAC).
  7. Oversee curriculum development progress in partnership with faculty.
  8. Provide supervision of the Administrative Assistant to the Crawford Honors College.
  9. Develop and maintain partnerships with faculty, community organizations, and other institutions.
  10. Manage the operational, budget and personnel functions for the Crawford Honors College.
  11. Review and assess enrollment data, student interest and completion patterns in honors courses.
  12. Provide continuous improvement to Crawford Honors College processes.
  13. Lead and organize co-curricular activities, leadership development programs, experiential learning opportunities and service-learning experiences for honors students.
  14. Collaborate with college departments to enhance academic support services tailored to honors students.
  15. Assess program effectiveness and student outcomes.
  16. Represent the Honors College by preparing and delivering presentations at district high schools, college fairs, career centers and on campus events.
  17. Provide professional stewardship and relationship management with the Crawford Honors College donors.
  18. Partner with internal departments to strengthen communication with and between high school administrators, instructors, counselors, students and parents.
  19. Develop Crawford Honors College partnership agreements with four-year institutions.
  20. Collaborate with academic departments to ensure timely planning, implementation and assessment of high-impact practices.
  21. Remain abreast of best practices for Honors College’s by engaging with National Collegiate Honors Council, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Phi Theta Kappa, and others.
  22. Develop policies, guidelines and systems to ensure an effective operation of the Crawford Honors College.
  23. Work closely with the marketing department to purchase collateral for outreach, engagement and promotion of the Crawford Honors College.
  24. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in education, marketing, public relations, communications, or related area
  2. Five (5) years of full-time related work experience
  3. Outstanding organizational, project, time management, and presentation skills.
  4. Strong and collaborative interpersonal, communication, computer, organizational, and management skills.
  5. Ability to travel to District 525 high schools as well as various honors meetings and events.
  6. Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet goals within deadline.
  7. Demonstrated leadership and/or supervisory experience.
  8. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community.
  9. Demonstrated commitment to the college’s core values.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Master’s Degree in Education or related field.
  2. Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  3. Three (3) years of experience in a higher education setting.
  4. Existing relationships with district 525 high schools
  5. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
  6. Demonstrated multicultural competence.
