Manager, Fleet Services
Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Fleet Services Manager oversees the daily operations and personnel within the Fleet Services area, provides essential support to the University's Transportation, Parking, and Fleet Services. This position is responsible for supervising staff, coordinating the use and maintenance of the university's vehicle fleet, and managing maintenance activities related to parking lots and traffic control. The manager ensures all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and promptly through effective communication and leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or GED is required.
Experience: Minimum three-years related work experience is required.
Licensure & Certifications: Must have a valid vehicle operator's license.

Job Duties:
- 25% - Supervision of Staff
- Responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and providing oversight for all employees within the Fleet & Maintenance area.
- Ensures staff are equipped with the tools, training, and guidance needed to carry out their duties effectively - (Essential)
- 25% - Fleet Scheduling
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all university fleet vehicles.
- Schedule vehicle rentals and coordinate availability for departmental use.
- Process rental charges and submit billing to appropriate departments through the university accounting systems. - (Essential)
- 20% - Manage Vehicle Maintenance
- Oversees the management of vehicle maintenance, scheduling and recordkeeping.
- Ensure basic upkeep of rental vehicles, including cleaning, refueling, and checking oil and fluid levels.
- Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities related to rental vehicles.
- Schedule routine and corrective maintenance for all fleet vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation. - (Essential)
- 20% - Coordinate Parking Lot Maintenance
- Coordinate the scheduling and operation of the street sweeper for parking lot cleaning.
- Order and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies for the Maintenance Associate and other staff - (Essential)
- 10% - Completes all other tasks as assigned
- Assist other staff in the department as requested.
- Attend meetings, training, and other events as needed.
- Complete all other duties and special projects as assigned - (Essential)
