Job Description

Come join the staff at OU Health Campus and become a part of Oklahoma's premier research university which leads the state in education and career opportunities!

Duties:

  • Manages a community outreach program team & staff.
  • Coordinates outreach internal and external events with community, tribal, and internal partners
  • Serves as interface between department/center and hospital partner on interactions with industry, community, and tribal partners.
  • Increase visibility of department/centers outreach program by serving in leadership roles on state comprehensive cancer coalitions and other community councils and committees.
  • Assists in developing community grants, provides oversight.
  • Develops and administers program budgets.
  • Designs and develops instructional and promotional materials, works with central marketing.
  • Hosts visiting groups.
  • Collects data, conducts analysis, prepares reports as needed.
  • Performs various other duties as necessary to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field, AND:

  • 18 months in community outreach related experience.

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Working knowledge of administration of community events
  • Leadership skills, lead teams
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Networking skills

Certifications: None.

Advertised Physical Requirements: Standard Office Environment.

Departmental Preferences: Master's degree in related field and additional 12 months management/supervisory or leadership of community programs.
