Job Description:
- Verifies patient insurance and coverage eligibility for services being rendered. Confirms benefit details and documenting coverage information accurately.
- Analyzes denial reasons and resubmits corrected claims promptly.
- Generates patient statements for balances after insurance payments.
- Files appeals with supporting documentation for medically necessary outpatient program services.
- Monitors aging reports to prioritize collections for accounts past due.
- Supports financial and operational efficiency by implementing strategies to reduce outstanding accounts receivable and improve cash flow, while maintaining positive patient relationships.
- Supports Patient Registration Assistant and manages all patient accounts for department.
Short Job Description:
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
- Two years' relevant experience
- Experience in insurance verification.
- Experience in insurance denial management.
- Experience with electronic health record systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient with Excel and related programs.
- Familiarity with billing clearinghouses.
