About the Role
The Manager, Student Residence plays a key role in delivering high-quality residential experiences for students by leading day-to-day operations, student engagement, and wellbeing initiatives across UOW accommodation services. Working closely with senior leadership, this role contributes to building safe, inclusive and vibrant residential communities that support student success and enhance the overall student experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the day-to-day administrative operations of student residences, including supervising staff and student teams
- Deliver engaging orientation, transition and student engagement programs that support community building
- Design and implement wellbeing, academic support and student engagement initiatives
- Plan and deliver key events and activities that enhance student experience and drive occupancy

The Student Residences Division works closely with and across the University’s campuses and business units with the combined purpose of ‘transforming lives together’ and providing a supportive, safe and respectful community that fosters connection and is inclusive for all residents, inspiring them to reach their personal & academic goals.
What You’ll Bring
- A relevant degree or equivalent combination of experience and training
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering programs that drive engagement and continuous improvement
- Strong capability in managing administrative processes, events or operations in a student accommodation or similar environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- Sound judgement, problem-solving ability and capacity to manage competing priorities

Role Details
- Employment type: Fixed Term (to September 2027) | Full-time
- Level 6/7 | $96,898 – $119,986 pa + 17% superannuation
- Location: Wollongong (Campus East Student Residence) on-site role
- Valid Australian work rights required. Visa sponsorship is not available
- This position is classified as child-related work and requires a Working with Children Check and National Criminal Check
