Position Title
Marketing Student Assistant

Position Summary The Marketing Student Assistant supports the marketing, communication, and engagement efforts of the Wall College of Business. This position provides hands-on experience in content creation, social media management, event marketing, photography, graphic design, and promotional outreach. Essential Responsibilities
Content Creation & Storytelling
- Draft social media posts, captions, and promotional content.
- Assist with writing student, faculty, alumni, and employer spotlight stories.
- Gather information and interview participants for marketing features.
- Collaborate with the Wall College Marketing team, faculty, staff, students, and alumni to highlight college initiatives and accomplishments.
Social Media & Digital Marketing
- Assist with managing Wall College social media accounts.
- Create engaging content for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other platforms.
- Stay informed about social media trends and recommend new content ideas.
- Assist with tracking and reporting social media engagement and performance metrics.
- Assist with other communication and marketing-related duties as assigned.
Graphic Design & Visual Content
- Design digital graphics, flyers, posters, and promotional materials using Canva or similar platforms.
- Ensure materials align with university and college branding standards.
Photography & Video
- Capture photos and short videos at college events, student programs, career fairs, speaker series, networking events, and other activities.
- Organize and maintain a digital photo library.
- Assist with basic photo and video editing.
Qualifications
Required
- Enrolled as a full-time Coastal Carolina University student.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Major in Marketing, Communication, Graphic Design, Digital Culture & Design, or a related field.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
- Experience creating content for social media.
- Photography and/or video editing experience.
Desired Skills
- Creativity and initiative.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Professionalism when interacting with students, faculty, alumni, and external partners.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Time Commitment
- 10 hours per week depending on availability and funding.

Compensation: $15 per hourly student wage in accordance with Coastal Carolina University student employment guidelines.
