Students engage in both theoretical and practical training, working with modern laboratory techniques such as sequencing technologies, cell and viral culture, gene editing, biofilm production, imaging, and flow cytometry. The programme emphasizes understanding diagnostic approaches and evaluating antimicrobial treatments, allowing students to explore the effectiveness of therapies and disease control strategies.
Research is conducted in advanced facilities and through collaborative projects, supporting interdisciplinary and multi-center studies. General requirements
- Students with a BS/MS degree in Basic Sciences (biology, chemistry, molecular biology and genetics, physics, mathematics, psychology, etc) or Health Sciences (dentistry, veterinary medicine, medical biology, physical therapy and rehabilitation, nutrition and dietetics, nursing etc) or MD degree are eligible to apply.
- At least 3 reference letters required, submitted via an online form by referees
- Motivation letter required, explaining suitability, background, goals, and reasons for choosing the programme and Koç University
- English proficiency required (TOEFL for international applicants or YDS / e-YDS / YÖKDİL for Turkish applicants)
- GRE (for international applicants) or ALES (for Turkish applicants) required
