Academic Position at the Department of Management, Faculty of Business and Economics
Research Area: Project Management, Risk Management, and Human Resource Management
The Department of Management provides education in the fields of management, business, operational and strategic management, human resources, and personnel management. It collaborates with other universities, businesses, non-profit organizations, and public institutions. The department organizes expert conferences and various interesting events for the academic community and the public. It works with young people, helping them to further develop their professional, scientific, and soft skills.

What Will Your Responsibilities Be?
- Participate in delivering lectures, seminars, and other forms of teaching in bachelor's and master's degree programs, as well as in lifelong learning programs
- Engage in monitoring student progress and providing academic guidance, particularly as a consultant or opponent for final theses, especially master's theses, and in exceptional cases also in doctoral programs
- Collaborate with the Smart Society research institute on publication, grant, and project activities, independently and in teams solve professional tasks, and apply research results in teaching practice
- Contribute to publication activities, especially in peer-reviewed journals, professional proceedings, and scientific monographs
- Actively participate in scientific conferences and professional meetings both domestically and internationally and present research, development, and innovation results
- Assist in the organizational support of research and educational activities
What Do We Expect From You?
- Higher education at the doctoral level (Ph.D.) in the field of social sciences
- Excellent knowledge of the Czech language, ability to teach in both Czech and English, and to publish professional papers in English
- Capability to independently conduct teaching and prepare study materials
- Familiarity with modern trends in management and higher education
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Active approach to scientific, publication, or project activities
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently organize work
- User knowledge of MS Office and online educational tools
What Research Experience Do We Require?
- Experience with publishing in scientific journals indexed in the Web of Science database
What Additional Qualifications Would We Appreciate?
- Experience from a corporate environment or experience with applied management
- Previous experience in higher education teaching
- Knowledge of modern teaching methods and digital tools for education
- Experience in supervising students' final theses
- Involvement in research projects or grant activities
- Publication activity in professional journals and other professional publications
- International experience or collaboration with foreign institutions
- Willingness to participate in the development of study programs and activities of the department
