Job Summary/Basic Functions

Model coaching positions are seasonal appointments. The volleyball season is generally from July - October. Positions will ensure that KHSAA and EKU regulations and policies are observed during practices and events, provide coaching, role modeling and oversight of activities, and supervise students.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma and completion of KHSAA training or minimum of 64 college credit hours is required. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Experience: Must complete KHSAA and Model Lab School training requirements.

Job Duties

75% - Work with Athletic Director and head coach to schedule practices and games. Ensure presence at all schedule basketball events. Train and practice with student athletes using best practices for volleyball players and in accordance with all KHSAA and other national and state laws and guidelines.
15% - Complete all required training for coaches, including Model orientation and review of the coaches handbook. Serve as a role model, using appropriate behaviors and coaching techniques for student athletes.
10% - Learn and communicate with students and parents through the school-approved ROOMS communication system. Complete other duties as assigned/requested by the Head Coach, Superintendent or Director of Athletics.
