The Computing and Mathematical Sciences Division at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) is seeking a highly motivated Visiting Researcher to join an interdisciplinary research project in the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) area, for a three-month, in-person appointment in Abu Dhabi, beginning in January 2027. In this role, you will examine how context shapes the design of accountable and responsible experiences for vulnerable communities interacting with AI-mediated financial services. You will contribute to research at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), artificial intelligence, financial services, and the needs and experiences of vulnerable communities.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of Dr. Divya Ramesh, Assistant Professor of Human-Computer Interaction at MBZUAI. Dr. Ramesh’s research examines the design of responsible, accountable, and context-sensitive technologies, with particular attention to how AI-mediated systems affect vulnerable communities.
